Summer, Ribbons, Girly - Card

Hi everyone, I’m back with another card.
I just had to make a pink card over the weekend!
So here we go:
I totally love easel cards and here is another one!
To celebrate spring in the Southern Hemisphere, (I’m living in Cape Town, South Africa) I decided to go for this lovely, fruity, floral paper.

I used the stunning sketch from Whiff of Joy Challenge by Jane.
I really like it!

I used one of my favourite stamps, a Whiff of Joy stamp called: Willow with Strawberry basket.
I coloured her with the following Promarkers:
Henna – for her hair
Blush and Dusky – for her skin
Rose Pink – for her dress
Sky blue – for the apron’s strip at the top and bottom
Carmine – for the apples on her apron
Lilac – for the apron and hair band
Sandstone – for the basket
Berry Red - for the strawberries in the basket
Apple – for the leaves, and bottom of the apron
Cool grey 1 – for all around the stamp
Then I took a white gel pen to create a three dimensional effect.
I also made fake stitches with the white gel pen around the light pink scolloped circle.

I put three flowers in the bottom right of the image and six little pearls on sticks on both sides of the flowers.
I decorated a pink butterfly with dark pink glitter and two gems and positioned it such, that it looks like the butterfly is flying towards the flowers.
I wrote: “With Love” as a sentiment.
I blocked it with two scalloped circles and finished it off with two ribbons.
Here I punched two eyelets, threaded two different ribbons through and made them into a bow.

Then I punched holes in the inside of the card or base of the easel card. I chose three different ribbons and tied them through the holes, repeating them again and again.
I used to use this technique of the ribbons on my Scrapbook pages and today I decided to try it on a card, for the first time!
Here is a full picture of the inside of the card.
I’ve put the printed paper with ribbons on pop-ups to ‘anchor' the inside of the card so that the top of the card can catch onto it.
I would also like to take part in the following challenges with this card:
One Stitch At A Time -Blooms, Butterflies and/or Bling
Sundays with Chrissy - sparkle and shine
Craft Your Days Away - girly and glitter
Crafty Emma - Floral Frenzy
Aly's Sunday Challenge - use pink on your project
Paper Play - stitches
Alice in Wonderland - what makes you shine or sparkle
Cute Card Thursday - use some material
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - use a sentiment
Fab 'n' Funky - use material (ribbon, lace or material)
Anything Goes - say it with flowers
Tuesday Throwdown - Ribbon with a twist
Die Cut Dreams - Pearls and Pins
Little hands do Crafts - Anything Goes
Lexi's Creations  - Flower Power
Wild Orchid  - Pearls and Pins

Now as I said it is spring in South Africa and the trees are starting to bloom.
We have a vegetable garden and here are some pictures:
On Thursday we replanted our baby strawberries into baskets.
David age 3

Daniel age 2 in deep concentration

Some of the peas which sprouted in seedling trays.

Last year’s strawberries.
They were great, but not nearly enough for 7 children!
Some of the tomatoes from last years’ harvest.

Tomatoes, purple peas, basil and lettuce
We are eagerly looking forward to this year’s harvest!

Have a blessed week
Crafty Greetings
