Floral Ballet Card For Stampin For The Weekend

Hello everyone, it’s time for a new challenge over at Stampin For The Weekend! The theme for this challenge is:

Feeling Floral!

We would like to see you use flowers on your creations.
Here is my card:

Every second year the ballet school Danika (my 9 year old sister) and I dance at, has a ballet concert. This year the theme is Jack and the Beanstalk and the first performance is tonight! Tomorrow there are two more, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.
At the end of the previous concert our ballet teacher Colleen Williams comes on stage and thanks everyone who helped and we then give her a large bunch of flowers with a card to say Thank You. This year I volunteered to make the card - all the ballerinas write a little note or there names inside. So this is the one I made.

I used the Stamp Called Spring Leap from Whiff Of Joy and coloured her with the following Copics:
E37, E35 and E33 - For the girl’s hair.
R20, R21 and E00 - For her skin colour.
RV13, RV11 and RV10 - For the light pink parts of her dress.
RV34, RV32 and RV00 - For the darker pink parts of her dress.
RV19 - For the very dark pink lines and hearts on the dress.
E35, E33 and E53 - For the brown basket.
G17 and G14 - For the green leaves.
W3 - For a shadow around the stamp.

Some Flowers from Wild Orchard’s Crafts to add three dimensions to the card.

Some old lace to add texture to the card.

And some gems to finish the card off nicely.

Please hop over to Stampin For The Weekend and have a look at the other DT’s cards, I know you’ll love them!

The colour combo is Pink and Green. Isn’t this a beautiful picture?
We are being sponsored by In 2 Stamps.
Here is the card I made:
I always love working with pink and green!
I used one of my brand new Whiff Of Joy stamps that my mother bought me for my birthday. I coloured it with the following Copics:
E37, E35, E33 - For the big mouse’s skin and the ground.
E33, E53 and R21 - For the little mouse’s skin.
R20, R21 and E00 - For their ears, tummies and tails.
G14 and G12 - For the green flower stem.
RV19, RV34 and RV00 - For the pink flower and the big mouse’s gloves.
W3 - For a shadow around the stamp.
On the right hand side of the card, I put a broad ribbon with a piece of lace and thin ribbon on top. It really softened the card’s colours.
Added some flowers from Wild Orchids Crafts.

And a few pearls for a finishing touch.
The inside.
Please hop over to Stampin For The Weekend and take a look at all the other beautiful DT cards, you can also enter a card yourself using pink and green and the photo to inspire you.

Tags Card For Stampin For The Weekend

Hi everyone, I’m so sorry for not posting much lately. It’s the Wimbledon  Tennis Grand Slam this two weeks (ending this Sunday) and I’ve been schooling in the morning and watching tennis in the afternoons!

I still had time to make a card for the Stampin For The Weekend card making challenge though!
The theme for this fortnight’s challenge is........
Tags!!!
Either make a tag or use tags on a card/creation!
We are being sponsored by 2 sponsors this time, Simon Says Stamp AND Pink Gem Designs. Thank you so much!

I decided to use tags on a card:

This is also a card for my little brother Daniel who turns 4 next month.
I used one of Pink Gem Designs’ images since they are sponsoring us.
I coloured it with the following Copics:
E53, Y15, Y11 and Y00 - for the little tiger’s body.
R20 and R21 - for his little nose and feet.
G17, G14 and G12 - for the green leaves at the back.
W3 - for a shadow around the stamp.
I arranged a few tags with ribbons all over the card.
On one of the tags I stamped “Sun-Shine Happiness”, the little Tiger seems to remind me of sunshine.
This is the inside of the card.

Please hop over to Stampin for the Weekend and see if you can take part in our challenge! There are also some lovely other DT cards that you’ll love.

Have a blessed weekend everyone
