The theme for the challenge is
Layers!!
We would like to see you use lots of layers on your card!

The main Stampin for the Weekend blog has a prize sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.
We will also have prizes on all the SFTW DTs’ blogs!
I can’t tell you what the prize on my blog is, it’s a surprise!!
If you are taking part in the blog hop and followed the list in the correct order you should have come from Rebekah’s blog.
Here is my layers card:

This card is for my mother, since it’s mother’s day next Sunday. My mother loves red and purple so I think this card really fits her.
I used a digi stamp from The Paper Shelters called Spring Swing and I coloured her with the following Copics:
E35, E33 and E53 - For the girl’s hair.
E35, E33 and E53 - For her skin.
E35, E33 and E53 - For her red dress and shoes.
G14 and G12 - For the green on her dress and for the leaves.
V06, V04 and V01 - For the bow in her hair, the flowers and the little bird.
W3 - For a shadow around the stamp.
I also used glitter glue on some parts of the image for extra dimension.
I used a pretty white and gold ribbon a tied it across the card.
This is what the inside of the card looks like. I hope you like my card!
Now to stand a chance to win the mystery prize on my blog, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I will randomly pick a winner at the end of the fortnight.

1000 Gifts Joy Dare!!

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. Today I would like to start sharing with you my 1000 Gifts Joy Dare. A while ago my mother read a book by Ann Voskamp called 1000 Gifts. In this book Ann share and encourage how to be thankful. When life is busy and tough, it’s natural to think of all the negative things. In 1000 Gifts, Ann shares about her life, with no happy start, and how she changed her empty life by filling it with thoughts of thankfulness.
She also has a 1000 Gifts Joy Dare over on her blog A Holy Experience. To count 1000 gifts in 2012! Snap 3 photos or record 3 gifts every day for a year and you have over 1000 gifts to be thankful for. Each month Ann posts a list for everyday with a suggestion of what you could look out for. Here is this month’s Joy dare:
You can read some more about it on Ann’s blog, here.
My mother downloaded a free iPhone app to record the 1000 gifts which allows you to record your gifts not only through words, but pictures and videos too! Since I don’t have an iPhone, I decided to take pictures with our camera and post my three or more gifts for that day on my blog!
I’ve already experience the miracle of change in my emotions by being thankful in a challenging, sad situation! Read more about it here, where I blogged about being thankful.
Now Yesterday's (2nd May) 3 gifts were 3 gifts flat.
Here are the three (or more) gifts I found:

#1 A story book to read.
#2 Flat cards made.
#3 Warm winter clothes, hanging flat in a row.
#4 A flat screen computer.
#5 A school book, to learn from.
I hope I can encourage you to be find 3 gifts everyday to be thankful for!

Wednesday Poems - How Beautiful Is The Rain!

How beautiful is the rain!
After the dust and heat,
In the broad and fiery street,
In the narrow lane,
How beautiful is the rain!
How it clatters along the roofs
Like the tramp of hoofs!
How it gushes and struggles out
From the throat of the overflowing spout!
Across the window-pane
It pours and pours;
And swift and wide,
With a muddy tide,
Like a river down the gutter roars
The rain, the welcome rain!

Wednesday Poems - Dad You’re The Best!

Dad,You're the Best!
Dad, you’ve been there when no one was
You are my guiding light You make me believe I’m special
You show me the path that’s right.
Life is a tortuous path But you help me get through
You’ve taught me to learn, To dream and to try too

Valuable lessons of life I’ve learnt from you
You’ve helped me face challenges And get out as a winner too

You help me bring out The best in me, always
We have great memories together, Memorable times and days

For all the joy and delight, Dad, I thank you
You are the best, I love you!

Another Lindt Chocolate Course Hand Crafted Truffles

My mother and I finally saved up enough money to do another Lindt Chocolate course. So on Wednesday the 11th my mother and I went to do the Hand Crafted Truffles course. This was my third course, here you can read about the first and second one.

We where so blessed, we were only 3 people attending the course. So we had an amazing course on learning about everything in so much detail.
We learned from beginning to end how to make chocolate truffles.

Teaching and giving us tips all the way through.
This is a chocolate - caramel mixture being stirred.
Another one being cooled on the table.

The Chocolatier taught us how to pipe.

We made a real mess!!
A carmel chocolate truffle.
We received beautiful Lindt certificates and my mother also asked for a picture of us with the Chocolatier that presented the course (Scott Kirkbrid).
Since we were only three participators, we took home loads of chocolate truffles!
Everyone at home was very happy with that!!
It was SO much fun and I can’t wait to make more myself!

My dad also surprised me with The Art Of The Chocolatier recipe book by Ewald Notter this past Tuesday. It is a totally AMAZING book, that covers just about everything of chocolate and so much more. Thank you SO much Daddy!!
Have a blessed weekend

Teddy Bear Card For Stampin For The Weekend

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a great long weekend.
Stampin For The Weekend has a new challenge today! The theme is
Teddy Bears!!
Any kind of paper crafts that has teddy bears on.
We have 2 sponsors for this challenge, and they are

Here is the card I made:

I really enjoyed making this card. I just love the paper and I enjoyed using a lot of ribbon.
Since one of the sponsors is Bugaboo, I bought a very cute digital Bugaboo image. As always it was a great challenge to colour this digi (I really struggle to not let the ink smudge), but it turned out fine. I coloured it with the following Copics:
E35, E33 and E53 - For the brown teddy bear.
RV19, RV34 and RV32 - For the cupcake’s bottom.
Y15, Y11 and Y00 - For the cupcake’s icing.
V06, V04 and V01 - For the blue on the cupcake.
V06, V04 and V01 - For the bear’s hat and the purple candle.
W3 - For a shadow around the stamp.
I cut out this sentiment from of one of the papers, and added a few pearls.
This is my favourite part on the card! I just love all theses ribbons, I punched about 12 holes in a row down the side and then one next to each of them. The I threaded ribbons through and made a knot.

I hope you like my card! Please pop over to Stampin For The Weekend and have a look at what cute cards the other DT members made. Maybe you can even enter a card!

With this card I would like to take part in the following challenges:
Do You Stack Up? -  Friendly creatures

Winner of Fortnightly Baking Fun Challenge and a Change in Seasons.

Hi everyone, two weeks has passed by so quickly again!
My last baking challenge was Biscuits, cookies and slices, yet again I only had one entry.
Aaliyah you won!
Congratulations, thank you so much for entering!
I will e-mail you soon, to get your postal address.
Here is a blinkie for you!

Over the past few weeks I sensed a change in season for my baking challenge. I only got one entry each for the last two challenges, and decided to close it, for now. By Saturday when I still only had one entry, I prayed and asked the Lord that if He wanted me to keep it going, to please give me more entries and if not, that it will stay one. The result was only one entry, so I believe this is in the Lord’s will. It was an exciting time to share with you in baking (8 months), but I believe we are now all called for something else.
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who entered so regularly! I would not have been able to do it without you for such a long time. It was so much fun for me and I hope it inspired you to spend more time in the kitchen too.
I will still post recipes every now and then, but will now have time for different kinds of posts.
I hope you understand!
Have a blessed week everyone.
Baking Greetings
