Happy Birthday Card For Daniel And Some Birthday Pictures!!

Hi everyone! As you can see I’m doing a lot of postings at the moment!
Today I would like to show you a card I made for my little brother Daniel’s 3rd birthday and some of the party pictures.

I really like this paper and image - it makes me think of Daniel as he loves cards and airplanes!

I used a digi stamp from Sew Many Stamps called Miki in Helicopter that I won long ago. I colored it with the following Copics:
E37, E35, E33 and E53 - for the monkey/bear’s skin
Y15, Y11 and Y00 - for all the yellow on the image
R29 and R27 - for the red helicopter
G17, G14 and G12 - for the helicopter blades
B05, B02 and B000 - for all the blue on the image
W3 - for a shadow around the image

I played around with ribbons and buttons to decorate the card. The beautiful ribbons are all from what a dear friend gave to me for my birthday.
With this card, I would like to take part in the following challenges:
Pixie Dust Studio - Boys will be boys
Divas by Design - Birthdays
A Spoonful Of Sugar -  Happy Birthday
Anything Goes Challenge -  Happy Birthday/Celebration
Crazy Amigo Challenge - Anything goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Birthday
Here are some pictures of the party.
Daniel wanted the “Cars” movie cake, so we gave him a “Lightning McQueen“ and “Sally” cars cake.

My mother with 5 of the 6 boys, decorating the plastic tree with icing and sweets.
Very exited little boys!!
The cake...........

With icing.

Take a look at our “clean” table!! CJ makes all kinds of cute little things to put on the cake.
While I prepared the different icings!!
We worked till 01h30 on this cake!!!

The boys had just woken up the morning and saw the beautiful cake for the first time!

Michael decided to help himself, before the party even started.
The adults’ table.
The children’s table.
Daniel blowing his candles.
Opening the presents! (Josua, Daniel, me and David)
Daniel had a lovely birthday and enjoyed it so much!
Daniel is still a baby in some ways. I love that - I love little children! Daniel has got such a sweet way to laugh.

I Got Ballet Pointe Shoes!!!!!!!!!

As some of you know already, my best and only sport is ballet. I have been doing ballet since I was five, which means this is my 10th year of ballet.
Two weeks ago, my ballet teacher told me and a few other class friends that our feet are now strong enough for pointe shoes. Yes, I though I was not hearing right. Finally! After waiting so long! Since I was a little girl seeing the “big girls” dancing on pointe shoes I wanted to have them too.
So on Monday the 8th I got my first pointe shoes.
My ballet teacher went with us, to make sure we got the right kind of shoes and that they fit correctly.

Me (right) putting on my “toe caps”

Putting on my first pair of pointe shoes on.
My first “rise” on pointe.
After trying on a lot of different makes and sizes I found a pair “Sansha” size 10, Width W.
When I got home, I took a few pictures:

That afternoon my mother attached the ribbons and when my dad got home from work we had a “photo shoot” of me and my points!
I just LOVE this picture!!!

I love my new pointe shoes! I know I’m going to have to work very hard to be good, and I need to work my feet to get them even stronger. Some girls said very different things about pointe shoes, that it’s SO hard to dance with and rising and all that. It is difficult to keep your balance, but if your feet are strong then it’s not that hard as some girls say! Practice makes perfect!!
This picture (at the top) is one I took! In a mirror of me with my pointe shoes and ballet dress of last year’s ballet consent and I would like to enter it into Monday Moments Photo Challenge - Reflection

This is what it looked like when I took the above picture!
My dad took this one with his iPhone. My mother (hiding away) is holding the mirror straight while I try to balance myself, getting a pretty position, keeping the camera still and take a picture.
I hope you like my photos!
Have a blessed week further!

Fortnightly Baking Fun Challenge #3................

Hello all my blog friends!
It’s Tuesday and time for a new Baking Fun Challenge!
Now on to this fortnightly challenge.............
Can you guess?
Cup Cakes!!
Any kind of cup cake you like! Big ones small ones, decorated anyway you like.

Here is my recipe:
Mini Chiffon Cup Cakes!!
I made very small cupcakes. This size works especially well for a birthday party, since big cupcakes are always to much for little ones and they only eat the icing.
This recipe makes about 4 dozen mini cupcakes
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour or 2 1/4 cups cake flour.
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
5 egg yolks
1/2 cup orange juice or water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
8 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter
Topping:
150g (300ml) icing sugar
2 tablespoons hot water
food coloring (the colors you want)
1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/ 176 degrees C.
2) In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 cup of sugar.
3) In another bowl stir together the egg yolks, orange juice/water and oil.
4) Beat the egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar on high speed with a stand mixer for about 2 minutes or with a handheld mixer for about 8 minutes or until medium peaks form.
5) Add the remaining sugar and beat for about another 1 to 2 minutes more or until stiff peaks form.
6) Sift the dry ingredients over the egg whites mixture, about one forth at a time, folding with a rubber spatula after each addition until all the dry ingredients are incorporated.
7) Place about one-forth of the egg white mixture in a bowl with the egg yolks mixture and stir until well combined.
8) Fold this egg yolk mixture into the egg white mixture with a rubber spatula.
9) Put your cupcake holders in little muffin pans (this way the cupcake holders keep it’s shape, after it were filled with the batter).
10) Transfer the batter to your little cupcake holders.
11) Bake for about 25 minutes or until light brown and let cool.
Now for the decoration:
1) Sift the icing sugar in a deep bowl.
2) Add the hot water and stir quickly.
3) Space a few drops of food coloring, in the icing (not on the same spot). You can add only one color or two.
4) Take the back side of a soon and stir it in the icing, like this:

Don’t stir too much.
5) Take a cup cake and dip it up-side-down in the icing sugar.
6) Lift it out, let it drip off a little and then turn around. Here I used blue and yellow food coloring. So it had three colors (yellow and blue makes green)
Add some decorations.
I also made red and blue icing.
There you are! What a cute little cupcake! Now it is your turn to show me your cupcakes with the recipe!
You may also use my recipe and show us an interesting decorating technique Any cupcake you like!!
