Bookmark for My Mother’s Birthday

Hey everyone, I’m here with another creation. As I promised here are some pictures of the bookmark I made for my mother for her birthday.

I sometimes find it hard to make a creation without someone giving me an idea or two or just being by my side for moral support, like my mother always do. But I think I managed to do this one pretty well without her.
I used an image that a dear friend of mine sent me only a little while ago.
I colored her with the following Copics:
E37, E35, E33 and E53 - for her hair, the basket and her shoes.
E00, E21 and R20 - for her skin
RV34, RV32 and RV0 - for her dress and the flowers on her hat and in the basket.
RV13, RV11 and RV10 - for the lighter spots on the dress and the rabbit’s ears and tummy.
B05, B02 and B000 - for her hat, the bow in her hair and her socks.
Y15, Y11 and Y00 - for the rabbit
W3 -  around the stamp for a shadow

I also added three different sizes pink gems in the top left and bottom right corner.
This is the back of the bookmark. I typed a little a poem for mothers and then wrote all our children’s names. I have also stuck three pink gems in the bottom right corner.

I made a little hole in the paper and made a knot with a pretty sparkly ribbon in the top of the book mark.
So I hope you like my book mark!
I would like to enter it into the following challenges:

Spring Card For Stampin For The Weekend

Happy Friday everyone!! It’s time for a new challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend and this challenge is...........
Springtime!!
We want to see a card/project with a spring theme!
(Though it is supposed to be a change in season, it is still VERY hot!! On Sunday it was 36 degrees C and it’s supposed to be a few days before fall!)
So here is my pink springtime card!!
A dear friend of mine sent me a rubber stamp to say thank you for a birthday card I sent her, and when I planned this card, I knew I had to use it!
So I colored this cute little kitten with the following Copics:
E37, E35, E33 and E53 - for her skin and the basket
RV34, RV32 and RV0  - for her dress, the bow in her hair and some of the flowers.
G14 and G12 - for her pants and some of the flowers.
B05, B02 and B000 - for her shoes and some of the flowers.
V06, V04 and V01 - for some of the flowers.
Y15, Y11 and Y00 - for some of the flowers.
W3 - for around the stamp
I also added three pearls as a string of pearls around her neck.
I used a nice dark pink ribbon and made a pretty bow.

I also stuck two little flowers with a leaf pin in the bottom right corner and a big flower in the top left corner. So that’s all for now, thanks for reading my post! Please do hop over to Stampin for the Weekend and take a look at the DT’s card! They’re stunning!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend.
I promised to post the card I made for my mother’s birthday and here it is.

I decided to make a red card since red is one of my mother’s favourite colours.
I’ve used a Magnolia that a friend stamped for me long ago and colored her with the following Copics:
E37, E35, E33 and E53 - for her hair
E00, E21 and R20 - for the skin
R27 and R29 - for the red on her clothes
Y11 and Y00 - for the yellow on her clothes
W3 - for a shadow around the stamp
I also stuck four pearls in each corner of the image.

I’ve stuck some lace with a red ribbon on top, at the bottom part of the card.
I have also put three different size pearls in the bottom right corner and a pearl on the bow.
I put a big and smaller flower in the top left corner and also three different pearls.

Here I have put a bunch of flowers, with pins to finish it off.

Tea Time - Book Mark

Hello everyone, I know I have not been posting for a while!
But some of the things I’m making at the moment is for my mother’s Birthday (22 Feb) and I can’t post that or else my mother will see it!
But here is a bookmark I made for myself!!
First time I’m making something for myself

I like it because it’s different from a normal bookmark.
It fits over the corner of your book. You can go and look at the tutorial on how to make one here.

This is how you put it in your book. It fits over the corner of the page!

This is what the back of the page looks like when you turn the page over.

I used an old digi stamp and colored it with my Copics........ Yes I said Copics!
My brand new Copics that I bought from a friend, here in South Africa!
This is my first creation with them!! So here is the colors I used:
E37, E35, E33 and E53 - for the mouse’s skin and the chair.
RV34, RV32, RV00 - for the top part of the Mouse’s dress and the bottom part of the cupcake.
RV13, RV11 and RV10 - for the mouse’s dress, tee cup, tee pot, flower and the snail’s back.
Y00 - for the flower pot.
B000 - for the water in the flower pot.
E00, E21, R20 - for the snail’s skin
G17, G14 and G12 - for the table cloth and flower leaves.
W3 - for the shadow around the image.

I used my heart puncher to make a pretty border at the bottom of my bookmark.

Here is the back of the book mark.
