Photos of the Ballet Concert

Hi everyone, I hope you had a great weekend!

I just quickly want to show you some of the Ballet Concert Pictures.
The concert was “Peter Pan” and I was a “Pearl” at the lake on the island and a “Lost Boy”, one of Peter’s friends and little Danika was a star at night when “Wendy” was asleep in her room.

Back stage – make-up.

Danika (left) with her best friend.

Me in my “Pearl” dress and Danika as a “Star”.

We had little crowns and a ribbon with a rose around our necks.

She is so cute!

Wendy is woken by her regular visitor Peter Pan who asks Wendy to read his favourite nursery rhyme:
“Mary Mary quite contrary
How does your garden grow?
With sliver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row”

Mary from the rhyme

Cockle shells

And the pretty maids all in a row
Then there was an interval for 20 min
Act 2 – The Lagoon
Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinker Bell arrive amongst the clouds above the lagoon.
They enjoy the lagoon characters before going on to the island.

The clouds

Dawn
They made smoke come out when she came in and it created an amazing effect!
My Dad took the pictures during the concert, without a flash light and I must say I think its stunning!

Then the sunbeams came

Act 3 – The Never Never Land
Peter Pan is happy to be back with his friends and all the familiar characters on the island. Captain Hook tries to capture Peter Pan but Peter Pan is once again too quick for him. The West Wind blows Hook off the island and everyone celebrates freedom form the dangerous Captain Hook:

Thanks A Billion Bubbles - Box

Hi everyone hope you’re all well.
I was a bit sick this week, but I’m much better now.
And it’s time for another challenge over at Stampin for the weekend!
Can you believe two weeks has past already?
We are kindly sponsored by Meljen's Designs .
Meljen's Designs kindly sent all the DT’s digi stamps to use for this week challenge.
I decided to use the bunny bathing and use it on a thank you box.
During the past few weeks one of my ballet friends’ mother helped my mother drive me around for the classes and rehearsals and my mother wanted to say thank you. So I made a gift box for her and my mother brought a little gift to put inside.
So here it is:

When I think of aunty Tracy I think of the colour blue. I just think blue fit well with her!

I had paper printed with big blue bubbles for ages and just didn’t have the right theme to used it for - it fitted this digi stamp perfectly!

I coloured the Meljen's Designs digi stamp with the following Promarkers:
Sandston – for the bunny’s body
Rose Pink – for the ears
Carmine – for the hat
Sky blue – for the bubbles
Gold – for the bath
Henna – for the bath brush
Yellow – for the bath brush’s inside
Cool Grey 1 – for all around the stamp
I also stuck a blue flower in each corner of the stamp.

I wrote “Thanks A Billion Bubbles” on the tag, I punched two golden eyelids in, threaded a blue-dotted-satin ribbon through the eyelids and made an upside down bow.

I put some lace with a thin blue ribbon on top at the bottom of the box.

I also put two big golden eyelids at the top of the box and threaded the same ribbons as at the bottom, through, to carry the bag.

And here is the gift my mother brought to put inside.
The perfect gift to go with the digi stamp and paper, don’t you think?
Please go to Stampin for the Weekend and take a look at all the beautiful cards that my DT friends made. They are stunning!

I also took part in the following challenges:

Your Next stamp - Give Thanks
Pixie Dust Studio - Fur or Feather (animals)
Southern Girls - anything goes
Karber challenges- cards for girls
Lexi's Creations - flower power
Aly's Sunday Challenge - sparkly and glittery
Craftalicious - thanks
Sundays with Chrissy - sparkly and shiny
2 Sisters - monochromatic
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - thank you projects
Crafty Calendar - blue and optional to use flowers

Talking about ballet - the ballet concert is this weekend!!
The first show is tonight (Friday night), next is tomorrow afternoon and night.
We are so exited and can hardly wait!
I will post some pictures of our costumes soon.

Have a blessed weekend
