Winter Wishes Christmas Card - For Stampin for the Weekend

Hello everyone, It’s Friday and time for another challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend.
This week the theme is
Winter!

This is the card I made and I really like it!
It is for a special friend of mine who lives in America. I’ve never met her but I read her blog and it is for her mother, I made the pink christmas card.
Now I had to say, as I was making this Winter card, I was sitting in summer clothes and boiling from the heat!! It is so hot here in South Africa and I’m making winter cards!!
This is an old Sugar Nellie Stamp I bought last year already and never used it, in fact I totally forgot about it!
When I saw Stampin for the Weekend’s challenge was winter, I suddenly remembered this stamp and decided to use it.
I colored it with the following Promarkers:
Terracotta, and Spice - for the children’s hair
Blush - for their faces
Henna - for the blanket
Appel and Forest green - for their hats, the boy’s coat, the present, the christmas leaves on the sleigh and the girls gloves.
Holly  (it’s a dark green) - for the boys scarf
Berry red and Ruby - for the children’s hats, the present’s ribbon, on the sleigh, the boy’s gloves and the girls coat.
Coral - for the girls scarf
Apricot - for the sleigh
Yellow - for the bells
Cool Grey 1 - for all around the stamp
Then, to finish it of, I used silver glitter to make little marks where the sleigh’s skid marks.
Gold glitter on the bells hanging form the sled.
And Red Glitter on the berries next to the christmas leaves.

My mother helped me to cut out the snowflakes stuck on the left corner with a pearl in the middle.
I don’t know if you can see it in the photo, but on each of that little snowflakes (almost looks like little flowers or stars) I stuck a little drop of silver  glitter, and on the two big snowflakes a little pearl.

I stuck a piece of white lace where the red paper and the stripy paper comes together. It almost looks like snow!
I wrote Winter Wishes as a sentiment, and made two photo corners each with a pearl on and stuck it at the  bottom two corners of the sentiment.
So that is my card! Hope you like it!
Please hop over to Stampin for the Weekend and take part in our Winter challenge.
