A Vintage Card – For Stampin For The Weekend

Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well.
Danika and myself are looking forward to our Ballet concert in only two weeks time with great anticipation!
In the meantime we are very busy practicing while my mother puts finishing touches on our ballet costumes. We are doing the first repetition tomorrow morning.
The tickets are available from the 5th of September at the “Ballet Box” in Tygervalley, Durbanville. The consort is held at Durbanville High School Cape Town, South Africa.

Anyway back to the card making.
Can you belief it’s all ready time for a new challenge at Stampin For the Weekend. Our previous challenge had a HUGE amount of entries! We had 680 entries!
WOW!

We are so sorry we couldn’t leave comments on all!
Anyway into this weeks challenge:
Shabbby chic or vintage project.
And we are Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp
So here is my card:

I decided to tear all my paper and thick distress around the edges, so it looks real shabby and old.

I also used a sketch from Create4Fun Challenge.

Since she is writing, I thought it will fit well with the paper and theme.
I coloured her with the following Promarkers:
Sandston – For Willow’s hair and pants
Blush and Dusky Pink – For her skin
Rose Pink – for the apron
Sky Blue – for the top
Blender – which I used to lighten the apron and top (I only started collecting my Promarkers, so I use a blender to lighten the colours if it is to dark)
Dusky Pink – for the shoes, paper of the book and pen
Henna – for the chair Willow sits on.
Cool Grey 1– for around the stamp

I cut a corner, then tore it and then stack a pearl on top.

I used some of my favourite flowers and I think they match the paper well!

I stuck see thru white lace on top of a gold ribbon.
And then I stuck pearls on top.

I wrote “Dream Girl” on a circle and then tore it too.

That is all for now, please hope over to Stampin For The Weekend and take a look at their stunning creations.
I also took part in the following challenges:
