Thank You Card For A Lady

Hi every one, I hope you had a wonderful Saturday.
I made another Thank you card.
The card is for a very special lady, so I made her a very pretty card to say thank you.
With this card I took part in the following Challenges:

The Sugar Bowl – Lay out and recycling
Papertake Weekly Challenge – Shiny, Sparkly & Special
Polka Doodles Challenge – Summer Blossoms
Cute Card Thursday Challenge – Someone Special
The ABC Challenge –unused stash
Totally Gorjuss – Pink and Green
A Gem of a Challenge – burgundy, pink and green
Crafty Angels Challenge – One for the girls
Whoops Daisy Challenge – As you like it

Here is The Sugar Bowl Challenge’s lay out.

And this is my card.

Above, I put two small and one big glittered flowers,to give the card balance.

In the two opposite corners I put small pink shells that came from a necklace. My Mom once bought it for my little sister at Knysna while being on holiday. She has so many necklaces and since she seldom wore it, I asked her if I could have it to use as decoration on my card.

I’ve written Thank you in Afrikaans because the lady is Afrikaans speaking.
I cut it out and put in on a pop-up.

This lady is a friend of my Mom, who came to our home, every day while my parents were in Mauritius - to cuddle the little ones!

Josua (9 years) and David (3 years)

She painted, played with play dough, made cards, played outside and lots more with the little ones.

Danika (6 years)
We had to dress them in old clothes, because painting with little ones is always a big mess!

Andrew (4 years) painting a black helicopter.

Daniel (21 months) in deep concentration

David (3 years) wanted Josua to paint for him

On Thursday night we invite them for dinner and gave them a small present with the card.

We prepared them a home cooked meal. Leg of lamb (my oldest brother, CJ, can roast a leg lamb most deliciously), rice with gravy, green beans in white sauce, butternut, a mixed salad and carrot salad.
For pudding we prepared individual chocolate souffle cakes, with custard.

The whole family around the family meal table - we had a blessed time together. Our friends also helped feeding the little ones and didn’t get irritated with all their demands at the table, while eating. They really love children.

And that is all for now, have a blessed weekend!

Crafty Greetings
