Early Christmas Card For Stampin For The Weekend

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! Today is Friday and it’s time for a new challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend.
The theme for this fortnight’s challenge is:
Starting Christmas Early!!
We know it’s only September, but when you get near Christmas you get busy with other Christmas decorations and planning and don’t get time to make enough cards.
Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is
Simon Says Stamp who is offering the winner a $25 gift voucher to spend at their store.

Here is my early Christmas card:

I love making Christmas cards!

I used one of Whiff Of Joy’s Henry Mouse images and had great fun colouring him with the following Copics:
E35, E33 and E53 - For the mouse’s skin.
R20, R21 and E00 - For his ears and tail.
R29 and R27 - For his red scarf and hat.
G17, G14 and G12 - For his green jacket.
Y15, Y11 and Y00 - For the yellow mug.
W3 - For the steam and shadow around the stamp.

I added a green polkadot ribbon with a bow to the bottom of the card.

And Some pearls for a finishing touch!

Please hop over to Stampin For The Weekend and see if you can take part in your challenge, there are some lovely Christmas DT cards to inspire you!

I hope you all have a blessed, happy weekend!

Danika (my 9 year old sister) and I have rehearsals on stage for our ballet concert “Jack and the Bean” on the 21st and 22nd of September, can wait!

What are you doing this weekend?

Photos Of My Brother CJ’s 18th Birthday!

I can’t believe it, my big brother is 18 years old! His birthday was on the 17th, and I thought I would share a few photos of his special day with you.

He is such a close friend of mine. We do lost of things together and I can tell him just about anything and know he would never tell anyone else. I enjoy washing dishes with him, making breakfast, lunch, dinner, clean up, wash the cars etc. I couldn’t have asked for a better older brother!

He got a little car for his birthday!
I knew about it, and it was a HUGE challenge for me to keep it a secret from him!
As a birthday present from me, I baked him a chocolate cake:

Lindt Chocolate’s Chocolate Cake recipe. With a coffee ganache,

and an Amarula ganache,

and homemade chocolate cigars!

Me putting the cake together.

CJ with the cake.

It was VERY good!

Then on Saturday evening CJ and Josua (Josua’s birthday is exactly a week after CJ’s, on the 24th, so it was also for him) invited a few friends to the Lindt Chocolate Studio and they did the Chocolate Appreciation Course.

The group.

In this course they learned a little about the history of chocolate, tasting different chocolates and decorating their own Lindor lollies!

Josua’s lindor lolly-pop!

CJ went even further and made a little chocolatier face with a hat!

Love it!

They all enjoyed it so much!

After the course they went to the Italian restaurant Andiamo for a pizza.
Photo’s taken by my dad and mom!

Have a blessed week everyone

This is the one I made for my mother.

With a pretty Whiff Of Joy image.

My mother and I are doing a Bible study together by Hello Mornings (read more here) and this is the list of things to read each week.

This is the one I made for myself.

Hope you like them, they work lovely!

My weekend....

This weekend my mother and I made chocolates we learned how to make on the Lindt Chocolate Moulding and Fillings course.
I though I’d share a few pictures with you:

Some of the tools we use and a few chocolates.

This is a chocolate warmer my dad made me. Well...yes we made a big mess!

We made quite a lot, but after separating them for deferent events
(including CJ's 18th Birthday party) this next two week, I found out I wouldn't even have enough left to sell.

Pink harts!

And blue ones!

Love this photo!

Some day I’ll sell them like this.

It was also VERY cold over the weekend and we had hail!

I was a little late with the camera, but you can still see it!

This is the closes Cape Town will come to snow....

Have a blessed week!
