Gift Bag for CJ’s birthday

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well!
Today I want to show you a gift bag I made for my brother for his 16th birthday on Tuesday the 17th of August.
This week Stampin For the Weekend’s theme is Anything goes!
Isn’t that easy!
We’re being sponsored by Sir Stampalot
I decided to make a gift bag for CJ.

I found the tutorial here.

And the back, with a pocket and a tag with a note in.

I used a stamp called Giddy Up, one of my Sugar Nellie stamps.
I coloured it with the following Promarkers:

Sandstone – for the hat, horse and pants
Dusk Pink – for the skin
Sky blue – for the top
Gold – for the patches
Berry red – for the hat band, buckle and flowers on the ground
Henna – for the hair, shoes, rope and gloves
Forrest green – for the grass
Yellow – for the flowers
Cool grey 1 – for a shadow around the stamp
Here I made a knot with the two ribbons, red and blue.

I coloured three identical stamps.
The first I stuck at the front of the card, from the second stamp I cut out the top of the boy with my circle colossal and from the third stamp I cut out the horse with my circle colossal.
The little boy I put on pop ups and stuck on the back pocket, with a sentiment: “Happy Birthday, CJ”.
I also repeated the red and blue ribbon, with a knot, on the pocket.
The horse I stuck on the tag.

Please hop over to Stampin for the Weekend and take a look at my stunning DT friend’s cards/creations!

We had such a fun day on CJ’s Birthday.

I baked CJ a Strawberry Bavarian Cake from my Baking book.

Me and CJ

It was delicious!

My mother and CJ

CJ loves horses. He has been doing horse riding for 5 years and is now riding a very special horse for the owner of a Riding School. CJ does not ride the school horses at the farm, since CJ is now too experienced.
The horse he is riding is a merry called ‘Something About Mary’.
She is a beautiful white horse and he loves riding and training her!

But CJ also loves his brothers!

CJ playing with David and Daniel.

I also baked CJ Croissants for breakfast on his birthday.

It was a pile of Croissants! Remember, we are a large family of ten!

By the end of last year, CJ won 3 small rockets as a price for answering 12 out of 12 Science questions correctly, read more here.
So in the afternoon we went to CJ’s horse riding school and launched two rockets.
CJ exploded the third engine while making it!
Ha-ha!!
Some fun pictures of the afternoon:
We all went out to the field on a Quad Bike.

Andrew and David were very exited!

The rockets

And up it went and with a huge speed came down to the ground!
The parachute failed!
It is a tradition in our home, when you are older than 7, to go out for dinner with our parents, on our birthdays.
Josua’s birthday is on the 24th of August, so my parents took them for dinner together.

I just love these pictures!

Take a look at the amazing milkshake they had for dessert!!

Although CJ teases me a lot and makes me mad……….I love him as my brother!!

Have a blessed weekend

Love that sweet card. So many interesting details. Seeing the rocket fly brought back memories of my son and his friend going to the local park at dawn and shoot off their rockets.
